Mood Board

I am going to base my architecture style on a Sci-fi futuristic city. The city could consist of a high tech environment, usually dark but with street lights(neons are common) These environments could be either grungy, cyber punkish or immaculate, smooth and shiny.

Texture experimentation

This is my experimentation with trying to create to grille type texture. I used the brush steel technique that I used before, duplicated the layer and use the Marque tool and started to delete small dots out of the duplicated image,  instead of doing it for the whole image, instead I cropped out a square of it. Then set this as a pattern.

Initial Statement

I have decided Sci-fi futuristic city street. I plan to make mine based off the images from my inspiration and my mood board.

  • Sleek/curvy buildings.
  • Steel textures
  • chrome textures
  • glossiness
  • shine
  • unique
  • compact
  • glow
  • glowing road lines

Fire

I started using filter, render and then clouds. Now I did the same but with difference clouds instead. I then Repeated this process several times until it resembled fire. Now I went to Image, Adjustments and then Gradient Map. Clicking the drop down box I used the Orange and Yellow pre-set. Now I added a new colour stop, made it black and moved this to the far left. Now I made the other three a deep red, orange and yellow respectively.

Rusted metal

This is my image with a rusted effect (right) I started with my original image (left) I used my rusted like image(middle) I quickly made in photoshop and then added it in a new layer underneath my other image, then changed the blend mode to mulitply

Rusted metal demo

This was made through photoshop. I created by first using the marquee tool to make a thin rectangle down the middle of the page. I then used

Textures From A Day Out

I think this is a good wooden texture, possibly for texture on crates, wooden doors

I like this imagine for the detail and I can imagine it working well as a texture for bushes, trees or similar plants

I like the rusted metal look to this texture, I can imagine this being a texture for metal crates, doors or other rusted metal surfaces.

I like this picture for amount of detail in it, I feel this would work well for alot of textures.
